Lectionary Shipping Information

I sent the following message out to everyone who has indicated interest in the RSV Lectionaries. We have plenty of them available, so if you wish to obtain a set, this will let you know how you can do it. I'm happy to report that we have a sufficient number of lectionaries donated to the OLW Ordinariate.

At long last, here is the information about payment and shipment for the RSV lectionaries. As most of you know, I was with our students on pilgrimage in Rome, and returned last Sunday evening. Not long after my return we had the wonderful announcement from Cardinal Wuerl, and I have to admit that I've had dozens of phone calls and lots of conversations, which kept me from jumping on this lectionary project immediately. However, it's back to the business at hand; namely, getting the lectionaries sent out.

We have sent one shipment to Allen Hall Seminary, and they will be distributed from there. We have explored every option for the best method of shipping, and we found that sending them through the post office is about half the cost of other freight carriers. It's still fairly expensive, but the books are heavy (the total shipment weighs about 650 lbs.). This comes to just a few cents shy of $50 per set for shipping. Therefore, to donate the two-volume set of the Lectionary would be a total of $150.00. The shipment left San Antonio today, and will take from 6 to 10 days to arrive at Allen Hall.

Shipping in the United States and Canada will be most economical through UPS, and the shipping cost will be $25.00 per set, for a total of $125.00. For shipping overseas from the United States (U.K., Australia) we will use the post office, and the shipping cost will be $50.00 per set, for a total of $150.00.

3.) METHOD OF PAYMENT – Check, Money Order, or Credit Card:

If you send a check or money order by mail, please make it payable to Our Lady's Dowry. The mailing address is 15415 Red Robin Road, San Antonio, Texas 78255.

You may pay through PayPal, either by using your PayPal account, or by credit card through PayPal. You may access our PayPal account by going to my blog, AtonementOnline. You will see the PayPal "donate" button on the upper right side of the page. For those of you paying in other than U.S. dollars, this will calculate the correct amount in your own currency.

Our Lady's Dowry is our parish's charitable foundation. As your payments arrive, we will be sending $100 per set to Ignatius Press, and the rest will cover the cost of shipping the lectionaries.

When you make your payment (whether through the mail, or through PayPal), please send me an email at FrPhillips@atonementonline.com, telling me the payment has been made. If your payment is for one of the lectionaries being donated to OLW, please tell me that, and let me know if you wish to have it donated to a specific Ordinariate group. I will forward that information to Msgr Newton.

If you are sending payment for a lectionary to be shipped to you, please include your shipping address.

If you are donating a lectionary, and also ordering for yourself, you may combine your payment but please send me an email telling me that.

I think that's everything, but if you have any questions, please feel free to email me. And finally… thanks for your patience with me in this project. We have to depend on our parish staff to get the books packed and shipped… all in addition to their regular responsibilities.

May God bless you — and I know you join with me in giving thanks to God, and for the prayers of the Blessed Virgin, for the great gift of Anglicanorum coetibus!

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Christopher G. Phillips

  1. Thank you Father for your efforts! This kind of real, practical work for the English Ordinariate is so appreciated. I'm praying that your kind of leadership will be at the head of the American Ordinariate!
