This is a bit of news attached to a prayer request (or maybe the other way around?). I have recently accepted the position of Rector at St. Aidan's Church (ACA) in Des Moines, Iowa (yes, they have already voted to join the Ordinariate in case any one was wondering), and we would like to ask for everyone's prayers. My family and I are working to get things packed so that we can move up there as soon as possible. We also have a home here in Abingdon, Virginia, that we are leaving behind that still needs to be sold. Please keep us in prayer on all these accounts. Thank you and God bless you.
Be sure to follow our Moderator at Eccentric Bliss, his personal blog!
Congratulations!
Good news, Father. You, your family, new parish and the sale of your home are and will continue to be in my paryers.
This is wonderful news. God has great timing, hopefully other priests who are entering the Ordinariate will also find a parish joining the Ordinariate that needs a priest.
I pray for all of the priests joining the Ordinariate as I am sure we all do.

Welcome to this part of the world – you will be about two hours from our parish! Welcome to the midwest!

Where would that be exactly? St. Barnabas in Omaha?
J.M.J.
Yes, (with apologies to the country song)
Going back to 1869, We were Anglo-Catholic when Anglo-Catholic wasn't cool.
St. Barnabas has enjoying a strong and happy friendship with St. Aidan's for quite a number of years. We welcome you!

Thanks!
I am a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Des Moines and I wish to pass on to you and your family—personal greetings and welcome to Des Moines. I have visited St. Aidan's and spoke with Archbp. Falk and assured him of my personal joy with the plan to become part of the ordinariate. I pass on the same assurances and my pledge of prayer for you. I hope to meet and personally welcome you when you arrive in Des Moines. My parish is on the Southside of the city–the old Italian area.
Monsignor,
Thank you so much. I look forward to meeting you. I will contact you when I get to Des Moines. God bless!
Hello Father,

Andy,
Thank you; I look forward to meeting you. I will contact you after we arrive in few weeks. God bless you.
MANY YEARS!
Very excited for you and your family.
St. Aidan's Parish is now on the Anglican Ordinariate map, and our prayers are with you father.
Fr Chori; this is so encouraging. The appointment of a new priest is a sign of normality in ecclesiastical life, and a sign of hope. I pray that your ministry there will be filled with blessings for you and your new flock.
This is very exciting
Dear Fr. Chori,
If you are allowed to, it would be most interesting how it came about that your new parish had no priest. Maybe in the future you can share the story with us.
God bless you in this grace filled time.
Hi Father,
Welcome to Des Moines! My husband is a deacon at Christ the King Parish on the South side of Des Moines. Please let us know if you need anything when you arrive.
I did not realize that St. Aidan's was joining the Ordinariate. Exiting news!
God Bless,
Susan Kehoe
Thank you Mrs. Kehoe. I appreciate the offer. God bless you!
Hello Father,
Merry Christmas and Congratulations to your appointment at St. Aidan's!
I have been the Priest in Charge there in 2001 and 2002, before I went in 2003 to Argentina. You, your family and the Congregation at St. Aidan's will be in my prayers.
In His Love,
Father Labusga
Thank you Fr. Labusga,
I have heard your name a couple times since we have been here in Des Moines. I pray you also had a Merry Christmas; are you still in Argentina?
In Christ,
Fr. Seraiah
