I hope so. I can't believe the Police or those responsible for enforcing parking laws could be so stupid! People might have forgotten about Christianity, but we all know what a coffin and a hearse are for.
If this is a Photoshop job, it's a really good one.
This church is in the City of London. Parking laws are strictly applied. If you park your car in the wrong place, it will be impounded, and you will have to pay a hefty fine to get it back. The implication of this is not even a hearse is allowed to park outside a church for a funeral!
See below. The photo might be a Photoshop job. I don't know.
I can understand the question. Here in France, they use specially adapted Transit vans with glass sides and rear doors. The coffin is hidden under a platform, and flowers and other memorial ornaments are put on the platform.
Thank you, Christian, for the reassurance. Then old England hasn't become as bad as I feared. I should have guessed. Look over the heads of the pall bearers. There's a microphone.
Looks like a Monty Python sketch. I just got another Theodore Dalrymple book in the mail yesterday. No doubt he'll fill me in on what's going on here.
I think that this might be a clever piece of 'photoshopping'.

They have hearses that look like station wagons in the U.K. Thanks for the explanation. Duh.
To me that looks like a hearse. What do they look like in Canada?

Canadian hearses have no side windows in the back.
I didn't get it either—just looked like a station wagon being towed, to me.
Sorry to report that the image is a fake. It was a stunt for a television comedy.

I wondered if it was for television when I saw what looked to be a boom mic.
