Cardinal William Levada and Archbishop John Hepworth met face-to-face for the first time last night at a dinner in Kingston, Ontario where the Prefect for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith spoke on Anglicanorum Coetibus.
I will post more on this later, but here are some pictures from this excellent event.
The pictures also include the cardinal with a Queen's University student who is a member of Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO), a wonderful evangelistic organization reaching university students (last night's dinner was a fundraiser for CCO); the cardinal with Kingston Archbishop Brendan O'Brien, former president of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops; and the cardinal with Anglican Catholic Church of Canada Suffragan Bishop for Central Canada Carl Reid (my bishop in Ottawa); and the cardinal with me.

Man! I guess Ontario was the place to be yesteday, with the veritable all-star cast of the AC league.
Thanks Deborah
Well, I must say that our Archbishop looks very cheerful as always!
I don't think he'll be "going sailing" just yet!
He will have a lot of work ahead of him.
Cardinal Levada looks like Cardinal Spellman. That's a compliment.
I've found in March "Diocesan Circular" of the Anglican Catholic Church of Canada that the Archbishop will be visiting different parts of the country until next Tuesday.
I've also read that there is going to be a Synod in Vancouver in July.
So, is it in July when the members of the Anglican Catholic Church in Canada are going to start giving a response to Anglicanorum Coetibus?
It would be nice to know about the Synods and meetings of the TAC provinces, just to pray for…
BTW, the priest giving Cardinal Levada a Canadian hockey jersey is Father Raymond de Souza, the chaplain at Queen's, and a priest in the Kingston diocese. He was the M.C. and organizer of the evening's event. He is also a columnist with the National Post, my favorite newspaper and a highly effective communicator, whether in broadcast or in print.
